We have the exciting opportunity for Band 5 speech and language therapists to join our Learning Disability Speech and Language Therapy team. You will be working across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland as part of a wide-ranging MDT, supporting a huge variety of patients with a learning disability and communication difficulties. You will be working in homes, day services, with carers, families and the individuals themselves to ensure that everyone is included in the planning and delivery of care. We also have the opportunity to work in our LD Crisis Support team supporting urgent communication assessments. We offer flexible and hybrid working policies, free parking at base and free uniform Job Description Summary (Main duties and responsibilities) The post holder will: Contribute to the delivery of the Communication Strategy and the Eating and Drinking Care Pathway with access to professional advice and guidance. Be responsible for their own workload with support around prioritisation. Work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team and with other agencies Participate in the development and delivery of training to others in relation to individual clients Supervise the work of assistants, volunteers and students as required when fully registered with RCSLT Contribute to development and audit projects Demonstrate clinical effectiveness by the use of evidence based practice and outcome measures We may close the advert early, if we receive a sufficient number of applicants, so please apply as soon as possible.
