Your new role
* Perform routine and specialist analytical testing on biological samples, analyse data, and authorise results.
* Review, release, and report results through the LIMS system, ensuring turnaround times are maintained.
* Identify and troubleshoot issues with specimens, analytical equipment, and EQA schemes.
* Maintain and operate specialist lab equipment, manage lab stock, and order supplies.
* Basic management and training of junior lab staff.
* Participate in maintaining the Quality Management System (ISO 15189) and observe all relevant health and safety regulations & participate in routine audits.
What you'll need to succeed
* At least 3–5 years post HCPC registration multidisciplinary laboratory experience.
* Demonstrable technical skills in pathology disciplines and the use of laboratory information systems.
* High attention to detail and ability to follow lab protocols.
* Educated to degree level or equivalent with a degree accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS), in Biological, Medical or Health Science disciplines.
* Ability to communicate this necessity to other members of the team, and support them in understanding and reviewing SOPs.
