We are looking for a maintenance electrician for a permanent position.
Position Overview:
As a Maintenance Electrician, you'll be a vital part of our operations, ensuring the seamless functioning of our plant, equipment and facilities. Your primary focus will be to provide timely and comprehensive electrical and mechanical support to ensure efficient operations in line with high quality expectations.
Responsibilities for Maintenance Electrician:
1. Prompt fault diagnosis and repair of both electrical and mechanical systems
2. Installations of Electrical/data cabling systems and Testing thereof
3. Routine maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting on all aspects of plant/machinery and equipment
4. Completing Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks as per PPM Schedule
5. Completing reactive maintenance tasks on plant/machinery/equipment/systems
6. Providing technical support/input to projects and initiatives
7. Identifying Maintenance spares required and liaising with suppliers
8. Assist with outside contractors when bought in to install or service equipment
9. Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
About You:
1. Previous Educational environment experience (desirable)
2. Commercial building services experience 5+ years (desirable)
3. Level 3 Electrical Installations Diploma or equivalent
4. Level 3 NVQ Electrical or equivalent
5. City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations or equivalent
6. Achievement Measurement 2 (AM2) Assessment
7. 18th Edition (BS7671) Qualified
8. Inspection and Testing of electrical equipment (PAT testing) BS2377 (desirable)
9. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently
10. Qualification in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience (desirable)
11. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in performing repairs and documenting maintenance activities.
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with colleagues and other stakeholders.
Estimated starting salary of £40k pa (dependent upon experience)
Monday - Friday - 40hrs per week 8am-5pm
21 days hol + closure dates and BH's
