Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Reports to: Manufacturing Engineer Manager Contract Type Permanent WorkingHours: 37 hours - Day shift Department: Engineering Location: Global Point - Newtownabbey Main Purpose of Role: Use machine experience and CAD/CAM to generate methods for manufacture and implement robust manufacturing systems. Key Responsibilitiesand Accountabilities: Generation of CNC programs;design and specify new or modified tooling and fixtures. Understand and have experience of using probing/ in-cycle control Develop and release required documentation including industrial engineering specifications, work instructions, MRP updates,toolsheets, and all relevant engineering documentation. Manage project risk through effective planning andproblem-solvingtechniques using 3C and 8D problem solving tools. Operator training in both new and amended methods and systems. Lead continuous improvement activities, including theintroductionand sharing of technical innovation and improvements. Provide technical support to other departments and functions, e.g., Supply Chain, Production, Quality. Respond to customer concerns in a professional and timely manner. Participate in cross functional activity and carry out any other function necessary for the smooth running of the Engineering department. Any additional tasks or duties deemed necessary to meet all responsibilities of the role Qualifications Essential HNC in Engineering or similar qualification in a relevant subject area (or working towards). Experience Essential 3 years experience in an engineering and / or manufacturing environment to include practical experience of CNC 5-axis milling machining. Desirable Working knowledge of aerospace and AS9100 requirements or similarly regulated industry Experience of using 3rd wave or similar cutting force analysis software Hard metal machining experience Competencies Good communication skills.
