Their custom-designed materials, specifically peptide-based bio-adhesives, are inspired by natural systems and engineered to enhance functionality across various markets. They provide innovative solutions to industry challenges, with experience in defence, health, and personal care sectors.
Founded in 2017, the company has grown with seed investments from multiple sources. After securing interim financing in early 2025, they are now seeking a permanent Chief Executive Officer to join their leadership team.
The role involves developing and executing the company's strategic direction, with a medium-term goal of securing additional funding to enable further scaling. The CEO will provide strong leadership and commercial expertise to a rapidly expanding business during a pivotal growth phase.
Primary Objectives
The main purpose of this role is to steer the company's strategic direction. The successful candidate will demonstrate commercial acumen and innovative thinking to lead business development and operational activities. Building trusted relationships with stakeholders, including customers and investors, and guiding the company through subsequent funding rounds via equity investment are key responsibilities.
The CEO will collaborate with the Board and Leadership team to ensure the company's strategy creates long-term value. Additionally, they will oversee critical operational, business development, and commercial contracting activities to meet business objectives and prepare the company for future financing.
Experience and Skills Required
* Proven experience applying technology to generate commercial value
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and inspire teams
* Ability to collaborate with scientists to foster innovation
* Excellent communication skills for understanding and explaining complex technical information
* Track record of building positive relationships with clients

* Experience working with finance teams to manage income and expenditure effectively
* Good understanding of biotechnology and its applications
* Degree-level technical background
