Job Title: Supply Chain Strategist
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Strategist to join our team in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for handling the procurement process, sourcing suppliers, and managing vendor relationships to ensure a seamless supply chain and optimised costs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implementing Procurement Systems: You will design and implement efficient procurement systems and tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
* Sourcing and Negotiation: You will source and negotiate with potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and evaluate their suitability based on quality, service, and value.
* Managing Budgets: You will manage the UK procurement budget within set KPIs, ensuring cost optimisation and supply chain resilience.
* Collaboration and Communication: You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement requirements and communicate effectively with suppliers and colleagues.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Essential Qualifications: Previous experience as a Procurement Manager or similar role, preferably with blue-chip training; experience working on sustainability initiatives and projects; strong skills in budgeting, cost optimisation, and negotiation techniques; proficiency with ISO14001, ECOVADIS, and ESG frameworks.
* Desirable Qualifications: Experience in the coffee industry or similar hot beverage category; established contacts within food and grocery procurement; education to degree level; and location within easy commute of Dunstable, Bedfordshire.
Salary and Benefits:
