We have a vacancy for a CHC Administrator within the Surrey Continuing Healthcare Team.
The NHS Continuing Healthcare team in Surrey works across NHS Surrey Heartlands and NHS Frimley. We are hosted by NHS Surrey Heartlands ICB, and our team’s office is based in Leatherhead with mobile working conditions.
You will use your knowledge and skills to ensure that outcomes are determined in a consistent manner to ensure effective application and interpretation of the National Framework for NHS Continuing Health Care and NHS Funded Nursing Care.
Training and support will be given to the successful candidates.
We encourage opportunities for professional training and development to increase knowledge and skills. This substantive post is suitable for an experienced Band 3 looking to progress their skills or an established Band 4 who wishes to specialise or gain experience in the Continuing Healthcare setting.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The Surrey Downs CCG NHS Funded Healthcare Service is responsible for ensuring that patients referred for NHS Continuing Healthcare funding receive a high-quality assessment of need, ensuring that the patient is at the heart of the assessment, and that their views and those of their carers are taken into account within national timescales.

Qualifications
* Educated to NVQIII or RSAIII (or equivalent) or significant equivalent proven experience.
Experience
* Experience of working with information systems and managing databases.
* Good administrative experience including initiating and maintaining office systems.
* Demonstrable experience in dealing with the public and handling sensitive and confidential information.
* Experience of working in a healthcare environment.
Knowledge
* Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
* Understanding of Confidentiality and the Data Protection Act.
Skills
* Clear communicator with good writing, data entry, and presentation skills.
* Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment and to multitask.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Good interpersonal skills with the ability to deal sensitively with patients and their families.
* Problem-solving skills with the ability to deal with difficult situations.
