Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday
(06:30 to 16:30 Monday to Wednesday, 06:30 to 16:00 on Thursdays)
Salary Range: From £26,500 pro rata per annum.
Join Cox Marine as a Build Technician and embark on an exciting journey in marine technology. We are looking for individuals who are passionate, driven, and committed to delivering excellence in their work. This role is based at our headquarters in Shoreham-By-Sea.
A Build Technician plays a pivotal role in the production process within our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. They are responsible for assembling components and products, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards, and preparing them for sale as finished goods. We are seeking skilled technicians with prior experience in similar fields or related manufacturing sectors.
Responsibilities:
* Execute build operations in accordance with work instructions provided by the MES (Manufacturing Execution System) to ensure efficient assembly within the allotted takt time.
* Work with a variety of components, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic parts, to construct sub-assemblies and final product.
* Perform end-of-line tests on assembled goods to assess functionality and quality and make necessary adjustments before sale.
* Maintain throughput, safety, and quality standards throughout the shift.
* Pursue ongoing training and competency development to achieve comprehensive knowledge of our products and build processes.
* Uphold strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, policies, and procedures.
* Keep the work area clean and safe, promoting a positive environment for yourself and colleagues.
* Demonstrate flexibility by rotating through various workstations and areas as needed.
* Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and assist in problem resolution efforts when required.
Skills and Experience:
* Proven work experience as a Build Technician or in a similar role.
* Ability to use various hand tools effectively and the capability to follow work instructions accurately.
* Basic maths, reading, computer, and communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to complete work accurately.
* Effective teamwork skills.
* Energy, drive, and enthusiasm.
