Commercial Analytics Leader Maidenhead Level 30 The Commercial Analytics Leader will play a pivotal role within the overall Commercial Department providing insight and analytics from internal and external sources, delivering actionable insights that guide the team's priorities and the business direction. This could take the form of identifying future opportunities and/or uncovering potential challenges on the horizon. They will touch many areas including strategic pricing, promotional optimisation, product assortment, commercial innovation, trade investment optimisation and instore execution. Business complexity: The role involves managing a team with focus in multiple countries The team will focus on all aspect of analytics including but not limited to Revenue Growth Management, Perfect Store and Shopper Reporting The Commercial Analytics Leader will need to build strong collaborative relationships with the Customer Development, Commercial Strategy and Category Development teams. Identifying opportunities and creating recommendations for a leaner and more agile commercial department and ensuring they are ready for the future. Responsibilities: Identify the focus areas for analytics and shape the team accordingly Recognise and develop sales and profit opportunities for J&J and the customer and deploy insights and analytics to capture these opportunities. Lead a strategic pricing review to identify areas of pricing opportunities Fully understand our current reporting methods and requirements. Develop a new streamlined approach to enable an agile commercial department Focus on promotional ROI and the support of methods to improve the return for J&J and the customer Development of IBP tolls and methodology to support the annual business planning process Identify opportunities to automate or utilise alternative providers for analysis to make the organisation more agile. Embed an analytical mindset across the commercial organisation Job requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, MBA preferred. High levels of intellectual capacity and curiosity. 3 years experience in FMCG environments within the Commercial Analytics field. Evidence of successful team leadership Proven analytical skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organisation Expert user in all relevant internal and external data systems.
