Job Description
We are working with a major leader in critical infrastructure delivery who is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage all costs of a project from initial calculations through to final figures, ensuring the minimisation of costs and maximisation of value for money.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and oversee tasks and processes, taking full ownership and accountability for your work and the roles of others, while exercising broad autonomy and judgement within set parameters.
2. Work closely with the Project Manager or Commercial Manager to manage relevant commercial aspects of project sections.
3. Protect the company's commercial position by applying deep understanding of contractual, commercial, insurance, and legal processes.
4. Foster and maintain effective client relationships, facilitating smooth commercial progression of contracts.
5. Provide leadership, support, and development to other members of the commercial team.
6. Maintain a high level of commercial and technical expertise, collaborating with the delivery team to create solutions that meet business and customer needs.
7. Prepare subcontract invitations to tender, evaluate tender returns, and make recommendations for appointments, ensuring subcontracts are placed accurately and on time.
Essential Qualifications:
1. BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
2. Membership of RICS, ICES, or CIOB.
