Job Title: Engine Build Technician - Development & Research

Contract: 12 Months
The Opportunity:
An opportunity is available within our Global Engine Development team (GED) at the Peterborough Engine Facility. GED is instrumental in the development, validation, and certification of our new products and in providing support to current products.
In this role you will assist engineers in conducting technical investigations of current and future product, components, materials and processes. An essential role focused on executing engine build, strip and rebuild activities to customer requirements in support of the team’s purpose of planning, preparing, and executing engine tests.
What You Will Do:
* Collaborate and communicate with engineers responsible for engine test programs.
* Support value stream improvements projects and utilise Lean tools (BIQ, CI, 5S).
* Keep work areas clean, tidy, and safe in line with 5S and total preventative maintenance (TPM).
* Undertake training, as required, to ensure quality and safe work practices.

* Good engine and mechanical diagnostic/problem solving skills.
* Previous experience in engine test/research and development, in building and striping internal combustion engines, or equivalent transferable skills.
* An engineering or motor mechanics apprenticeship, some relevant work experience and have completed some form of relevant higher education.
