Cambridge Day Surgery [CDS] is a private, independent 23hr Day Hospital centrally located in Wembley that provides friendly personalised care to our patients. As a small facility the culture at CDS is warm and friendly with a strong team approach. There are limited staff parking bays available onsite and our central location is close to public transport.

About you:
You are a professional and technically proficient Bookkeeper/Accounts Manager, with several years experience in a similar role. You will be able to work autonomously but, as an integral member of the executive team, you will regularly provide quality updates and reports to the Executive and Board.
You will have the ability to take full control of the payroll function, managing all fortnightly payroll transactions, preparing orientation for new employees, terminations, leave entitlements, and payment summaries. You will be the specialist on payroll matters, awards, and entitlements. You will have advanced computer software skills and the ability to learn and use new software.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing accounts payable and receivable
* Debtors management
* Preparation of financial statements for reporting to Board
* Ensure compliance activities are met including preparing and lodgement of BAS, Superannuation and payroll tax
* Cashflow analysis and budgeting
* Full end to end payroll for 60 – 80 employees including new employees, terminations, leave calculations, superannuation and entitlements
* Journal entries, depreciation, fixed asset register, Insurance
To be successful in this role you must have:
* 5+ years in a similar role
* Ability to interpret and apply awards
* Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Bookkeeping
* Strong experience in financial and management reporting
* Superior communication skills and a can-do attitude
