ICT Support Managers
We are seeking several ICT Support Managers to work with a local authority client based in Crewe.
Job Summary:
* To manage, develop, implement, and maintain a range of information and communications technology (ICT) policies, processes, projects, products, and services for the Council in accordance with the Corporate Plan and ICT investment strategy and delivery programme.

Rate of pay: £23 - £29 per hour - Negotiable on experience following a successful interview.
Contract type: Agency 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension.
Hours: 37 hours per week.
Location: Crewe, CW1. (Hybrid working could be on offer.)
About the role:
* Oversee the execution of complex projects or work streams, ensuring adherence to policies, processes, and budgets while delivering quality outcomes within agreed resources and timelines. Provide accurate financial and technical progress reports to stakeholders.
* Manage all aspects of technical systems, supplier relationships, and infrastructure design, from planning to implementation, to deliver effective business solutions compliant with professional and national standards.
* Lead and motivate large, matrix-managed project teams, providing technical advice, mentoring, and appraisals to enhance skills, share best practices, and build strong relationships with clients, partners, and colleagues.
* Support the development and implementation of strategies, standards, and policies by prioritising, allocating resources, and monitoring performance to align with corporate and national objectives.
* Recommend practical, innovative solutions for new or improved products, services, tools, or policies, balancing technical constraints with business needs and operational realities.
Experience / Knowledge Needed:
* Extensive IT experience, including technical management.
* Skilled in program and project management, from scoping and feasibility to budget control, using PRINCE2 methods like risk assessment and critical path analysis.
* Experienced in managing multidisciplinary and matrix teams on projects.
* Proven expertise in process improvement and establishing educational programs to support initiatives.
