Role Overview: As a RoW Logistics Manager, you will oversee shipments from outside the US, manage requirements for Tanner commercial departments and divisions, and support the QA team to ensure shipments are compliant with GxP regulations.
Role Accountabilities:
1. Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all logistics activities related to transportation, storage, and distribution of products.
2. Provide guidance and advice to commercial divisions on appropriate shipping methods in accordance with client requirements and business needs.
3. Develop strong relationships with Tanner logistics partners through regular communications, including face-to-face meetings and teleconferences to best support shipping strategies and processes.
4. Develop strong relationships with key suppliers/manufacturers.
5. Ensure GxP guidelines are followed relating to logistics and distribution of medicinal products, including investigational medicinal products.
6. Effectively manage the booking of all shipments.
7. Request shipping quotes from our Logistics Providers.
8. Manage all import and export requirements, including customs activities in coordination with Tanner’s LSP partners and commercial ordering teams.
9. Collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders in line with our values.
10. Identify potential risks within the logistics process (e.g., delays, damaged goods, temperature control excursions or supply chain disruptions) and implement mitigation strategies to minimize operational impact.
11. Lead efforts to improve logistics processes, workflows, and technologies to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and increase customer satisfaction.
Desired Candidate Profile & Capabilities:
1. 2-4 years of experience in Supply Chain and Logistics, preferably within a life science setting.
2. Knowledge of logistics processes, inventory management, and transportation systems/networks.
3. Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal. Comfortable in engaging at all levels of the organization.
4. Good problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Comfortable with data and analysis.
5. Local to St Albans.
6. Friendly and approachable with a 'can-do' attitude.
7. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
8. Knowledge of Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and relevant regulations for products.
