Description Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse – Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) UE07 £40,247 - £47,874 per annum Full time: 35 hours per week and 2.5 hours per week contractual overtime ( working 8.50-5pm Monday-Friday, TBC with successful candidate) Open ended (permanent) contract The Opportunity: We have a fantastic opportunity for a registered nurse to lead our established Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) nursing team here at the Hospital for Small Animals (HfSA). The post holder will line manage, coordinate and supervise referral level, Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) Registered Veterinary Nurses to ensure full support is provided for patients and clinicians by proactively organising admissions, discharges and the internal movement of patients throughout a large hospital while optimising effective communication between departments within the HfSA. As line manager, they will lead by example and monitor performance issues, oversee the provision of relevant clinical support activities while maintaining high technical standards and ensuring work schedules and deadlines are met. Liaise with senior hospital management, heads of services and other senior nursing staff to ensure appropriate nursing staff support within the hospital. Our weekday nurses are expected to cover one weekend shift per month on average, paid as overtime. Additional overtime and on-call opportunities are also available. As Vet Nurses have contractual overtime of 2.5 hours per week on top of the standard 35 hours, the annual salary range for Grade UE07 will raise to £43,409.26- £51,635.53 per annum.
