In Project Controls, our goal is to provide the right insights and recommendations to influence the execution of the projects and maximize value to both our customer and GE. This requires the right rigor around schedule and cost management processes to deliver projects on-time and within budget.

Job Description
Role Summary
The successful candidate:
* Should be proficient in P6, with strong interpersonal skills to interact across all organization functions.
* Have proactive behavior and seek/facilitate solutions and mitigations.
* Have a wide technical background to understand the constraints and logical sequences of our business segment.
* Be acquainted with electrical substations, at least on AC.
* Knowledge of HVDC converter stations would be a plus.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Build the project baseline gaining approval from clients and internal stakeholders.
* Maintain project schedule with periodic updates, including resource forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.
* Identify activity prerequisites and help anticipate blockers with the wider project team and third parties.
* Drive and challenge progress, agree on forecasts, and develop mitigation/catch-up plans.
* Ensure schedule analysis through various means to determine project schedule trends and related risks & opportunities, then work with project team members to drive mitigation strategies.
* Provide evidence to PM to advocate for support as appropriate.
* Lead collaboration with functional task and resource owners to find strategies to optimize durations and manhours.
* Ensure that forecast task durations and logic are understood and committed by the task owners.
* Present all time schedule data transparently, attend project and management reviews to present schedule status, describe trends and forecasts, make proposals, and influence strategic decisions.
* Produce and communicate internal project reporting of project status.
* Produce contractually required customer reporting and communicate directly with customers on scheduling matters.
* Lead collaboration with 3rd parties on project schedule interfaces, including maintenance of an interface register.
* Maintain a register of potential schedule and cost risks in collaboration with the Risk Manager.
* Provide time-related calculations to ensure change order schedule/cost estimates are accurate.
* Align with Cost Controller to ensure reconciliation between P6 schedule and approved cost phasing.
* Generate 'what if' scenarios to optimize execution and work with project teams to evaluate feasibility.
* Support disputes and analysis of claims.
* Take full responsibility for the planning output for the assigned project(s) in close coordination with the Project Manager(s).
Qualifications & Experience
Educational Requirements
* Degree qualified in engineering or project management discipline.
Desired Knowledge & Experience
* Relevant experience in planning turnkey projects in the transmission business (electrical substations).
* Relevant experience as a Primavera P6 user (Essential).
* Any experience in HVDC projects is a differentiator.
* Experience on large & complex infrastructure projects or in an international and multicultural environment is advantageous.
* Knowledge of risk management processes and tools, quantitative risk analysis is advantageous.
* Experience of cost control function and interface with schedule is advantageous.
* Experience in applying forensic analysis for EOT claims preparation is advantageous.
