As a Payroll Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the payroll process and ensuring accurate and timely payment of wages to our employees. Your main responsibilities will include collecting and verifying timesheets, calculating wages, processing payroll, and maintaining payroll records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll procedures, excellent organizational skills, and a high level of accuracy. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of our finance department and play a vital role in ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time.
Responsibilities:
1. Collect and review timesheets from various departments or branches to ensure accuracy and completeness.
2. Calculate wages, including regular hours, overtime, bonuses, and other relevant factors.
3. Input payroll data accurately into the payroll system and verify all information for completeness and correctness.
4. Process payroll and generate payslips for employees.
5. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies regarding payroll processing, tax deductions, and statutory deductions.
6. Prepare and submit required payroll reports, including tax filings, pension contributions, and other statutory requirements.
7. Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data in compliance with data protection regulations.
8. Respond to employee queries regarding payroll, tax deductions, and other related matters.
9. Assist with payroll reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise.
10. Collaborate with the finance team to provide accurate payroll information for financial reporting purposes.
11. Assist with general administrative tasks within the finance department as needed.
