For our Business Development Manager we’re seeking motivated, enthusiastic individuals with a passion for sustainability and innovation. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, possess a strong sense of responsibility, and be committed to delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
* As a Business Development Manager, you will identify opportunities by researching relevant business sectors and building a strong, targeted network
* Contribute to the development process of asset projects, providing creative solutions to deliver cost, efficiency and low carbon solutions to the national grid and infrastructure projects
* Maintain effective partner relationships to establish recurring business opportunities
* Create business models for identified opportunities
* Develop a good working-level knowledge of the UK energy services sector, in particular the technology options, and the commercial and regulatory drivers
* Implement an organised and structured approach to pipeline management to ensure effective internal and external stakeholder engagement throughout the development cycle
* Develop wider business opportunities and capability
Requirements:
* Degree qualified STEM subject or equivalent experience
* Have at least 3 years’ experience of developing strong business-partner relationships to deliver an effective pipeline of commercial opportunities
* Experience of prospecting and managing client relationships in a technical sales environment is a prerequisite, experience of the energy services or energy asset/infrastructure sector is desirable
* Strong analytical skills to understand and develop opportunities in a highly complex business and regulatory domain
* Must be an articulate communicator, with demonstrable lead development and proposition presentation skills to succeed as our Business Development Manager
* Must be able to commute to Cheltenham
