Set in a tranquil rural location, the hospital has 33 beds across male and female wards, alongside an on-site therapy centre—The Lodge—offering a wide range of treatment programmes.

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and committed Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver outstanding care in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment. You will play a key role in shaping clinical services, supporting recovery, and improving patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide outpatient assessments, follow-ups, and urgent appointments for private patients.
2. Act as the named Consultant for allocated outpatient, day patient, and inpatient cases.
3. Take clinical responsibility for patients, including participation in MDT ward rounds, risk assessments, strategic reviews, and the development of a therapeutic environment.
4. Deliver expert psychiatric assessment and treatment for a varied caseload.
5. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, therapists, and nurses.
6. Engage in clinical governance, quality improvement, and service development.
7. Participate in the Consultant on-call rota to support continuity of care.
8. Build relationships with referrers and maintain professional networks.
9. Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines and regulatory standards.
10. Maintain professional development and meet Revalidation requirements.
Candidate Profile
11. Full GMC registration with Specialist Registration in Psychiatry.
12. CCT/CCST (or equivalent) in General Adult Psychiatry or Addiction Psychiatry.
13. Proven experience in inpatient mental health settings.
14. Strong understanding of clinical governance and regulatory compliance.
15. Enhanced DBS clearance (provided by Priory).
16. Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with the wider team.
17. Strategic and adaptive problem solver with a focus on delivering evidence-based care.
