About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated IT and Systems Administrator to assist with the management and maintenance of our internal IT infrastructure. Working closely with senior IT staff, this role focuses on supporting internal IT systems, enhancing network reliability, and contributing to cybersecurity efforts. You’ll assist with troubleshooting, user support, system maintenance, and help uphold internal security measures.
Key Responsibilities:
* System Support: Assist in maintaining and administering internal computer systems and servers to support business needs under the guidance of senior IT team members.
* User Assistance: Provide support to internal users across departments, helping troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues as they arise.
* Network Support: Help manage internal network configurations, firewall settings, and VPNs, working with senior staff to ensure reliable connectivity.
* Security and Compliance Support: Support the implementation of internal security measures, user access management, and compliance audits to protect data integrity and uphold standards.
* System Maintenance: Assist with routine maintenance, upgrades, and patching of internal systems, coordinating with the senior IT team to minimize disruption.
* Data Backup and Recovery: Help manage internal data backup protocols and ensure recovery processes are in place with guidance from senior staff.
* Documentation: Assist with the creation and maintenance of system documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedural guides.
* Project Assistance: Support IT-related projects, such as software rollouts and system migrations, in collaboration with the senior IT team.
* Compliance Support: Work with the compliance team to help complete assessments for ISO, security certifications, and assist with customer questionnaires as part of the supplier onboarding process.
Requirements:
About You:
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
* 1-2 years of experience in IT support or systems administration, ideally within a telecoms or technology-focused environment.
Technical Skills:
* Experience managing Windows systems; familiarity with Linux-based systems is beneficial.
* Exposure to Zoho System and associated applications (CRM, Desk, etc.) or similar system is a plus.
* Understanding of endpoint security and access management.
* Familiarity with networking basics, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
Soft Skills:
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
* Effective communication skills to support non-technical staff.
* Good written skills for documentation.
* A proactive attitude with the ability to work as part of a team.
Preferred Certifications (Not Required but Beneficial):
* CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+
* Relevant certifications in IT or network management
