Newly Qualified / Junior Physiotherapist
A unique and exciting role has arisen for an enthusiastic Junior Physiotherapist to join our existing specialist therapy teams at Hobbs Rehabilitation, the largest independent provider of specialist neurological rehabilitation to adults in the south of England.
The post will be part of our junior physiotherapist rotation, incorporating outpatient, inpatient and residential services across several Hobbs sites.
The successful candidate will be responsible for autonomously assessing and treating a wide range of neurological patients in an outpatient setting with support from our experienced and friendly multi-disciplinary team (MDT), working alongside Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Psychology and Rehabilitation Assistant colleagues. We treat patients undergoing packages of intensive treatment as well as outpatients with a variety of complex neurological conditions such as spinal cord injury, stroke, brain injury and MS.
Across Hobbs we use a combination of ‘conventional’ hands-on therapy and clinically-led neurotechnology to achieve patient-centred goals, with a wide range of different neurotechnologies available across the company; including exoskeletons, FES, robotic gait trainers, upper limb devices such as MyoPro and GripAble, and virtual- and augmented reality. At our Bristol centre you will have full access to our state-of-the-art Tyromotion neurotechnology suite, and we will provide full training as part of your induction.
There are many exciting service developments across Hobbs, including the launch of our new Amputee and Trauma service based at Bristol, providing the successful applicant with opportunities to develop in both neurological, poly-trauma and amputee physiotherapy. There will also be opportunities to participate in research and development projects as part of your clinical professional development through Hobbs and the MiNT academy.
As a Junior Physiotherapist, you will have access to an induction training programme, regular clinical and non-clinical supervisions, local in-service training and peer support to aid your development, and the rotational nature of our junior physiotherapy posts allows staff to experience a wide variety of clinical settings, conditions and approaches.
