IN A NUTSHELL
As our Warehouse Operations Manager at Bulk, you'll oversee and coordinate all warehouse operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Your responsibilities will include managing daily tasks such as receiving, storing, and dispatching goods, optimizing workflows, and ensuring timely completion.
You’ll lead and train the warehouse team, oversee performance metrics, and drive process improvements to boost efficiency and uphold high-quality standards. Additionally, you will manage daily inventory to ensure successful OTIF deliveries, conduct regular audits, and work closely with the UK Logistics Manager on strategic planning, budgeting, and policy implementation. Your efforts will be key in achieving our operational goals and meeting customer needs effectively.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
1. Oversee daily site operations, including resource planning, organising, and directing all activities.
2. Monitor and analyse operational performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities, create action plans, and ensure effective implementation.
3. Promote a safety-first environment by ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations and company policies, conducting investigations, and leading HSE practices, including audits.
4. Ensure adherence to Food Safety & Quality regulations and company policies, act as the HACCP representative, and lead internal and external audits.
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the Inbound Logistics Manager and internal teams.
6. Lead, motivate, and support a team of employees, providing guidance and training as needed.
7. Collaborate with the UK Logistics Manager to develop and implement strategies that optimize operations and drive business growth.
8. Prepare regular reports on operational performance, analyse against budgeted figures, and present findings, root cause analysis, and action plans to senior management.
9. Lead weekly performance update meetings with the Logistics SLT on Business KPIs and OKRs.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
1. Proven experience in operations management within logistics or supply chain environments.
2. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
3. Proficiency in operational management software and tools.
4. Solid knowledge of Health and Safety, Food Safety regulations, and quality standards (ideally, at least Level 2 HACCP certification).
5. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
6. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
7. Exceptional organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
8. Proven track record of building and maintaining positive relationships with team members and stakeholders.
9. Project management certification and knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma or Lean) are advantageous.

LOCATION: Colchester
DAYS: Monday to Friday
HOURS: To facilitate collaboration between our AM and PM teams, core hours will be from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Occasionally, you may need to adjust your hours to support shift requirements as needed.
