An experienced administrator is required to join the Institute of Dentistry’s administrative team for a fixed period of five months to commence in mid-May 2025 until mid-October 2025. This is a full-time post however, we will consider applications from experienced administrators who wish to work part time (not less than 60% of full-time).
Based in the busy Institute Administration Office, the postholder will provide high quality administrative support for the Institute’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
In addition to programme specific administrative activities, the postholder will be required to work independently as well as part of a team to support a wide range of administrative activities essential to the effective running and operation of the Institute and to ensure compliance with regulatory, funding, financial and other external and University requirements.
This is a varied and demanding role with key responsibilities which include administration to support programme delivery, timetable administration, student attendance monitoring, administration to support effective liaison with external Workplace Supervisors and NHS staff at Outreach centres, arranging travel and expense claims for students, supporting senior staff and supporting key administrative actions relating to finance, supporting HR-related activities and committee servicing and minute taking.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 3 scale, £24,606 per annum (pro-rated for part-time working).
