Vacancy: Product Owner
Siemens Electrification and Automation Business are currently recruiting for the below role to come and join our Smart Infrastructure division.
The Product Owner ensures the technical and economic success of the product. This includes product quality and regular in time releases until the end of the product lifecycle, including product documentation.
The central tasks of the Product Owner are the planning, controlling and coordination of the product development, establishing technical solutions and controlling the respective adherence.
It is expected that the Product Owner has a strong focus on customer requirements, can understand them and break them down to user stories and tasks which are the basis for the development activities in the Teams. He represents the PLM towards the Teams.
Location: This role is based at our Hebburn site (Northeast of the UK), with the option to work remotely by arrangement.
This is your role. What part will you play?
* Execution of Product Ownership
* Planning of all activities regarding product, system and team structure, use of resources, development steps according to the PLM process, results verification, quality planning, and risk estimates
* Establishing the product creation team
* Requirements Engineering: Managing the product backlog, breaking down opportunities to features and user stories supported by experts
* Managing defects for the area
Interface to Teams
* Setting overall sprint goal
* Defining sprint backlog together with Team and getting an agreement about the results to be obtained
* Planning sprint in alignment with other Product Owners and experts
* Explaining opportunities and requirements to Teams
* Synchronizing Teams
Use your skills to move the world forward.
* You will have a University degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline
* Management experience in a development environment, either in a management role or as a technical lead in development
You will have experience of the following:
* Development of Electronic Product and Software
* Lean development processes and DevOps Practice
* Resource management
