An exciting opportunity has arisen to be a part of the MultiAir! We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated person who can work as a Business Controller. This is a hybrid position, based in our Warrington office.
Job Purpose:
* Through accurate, relevant and timely business & financial analysis, support general management in making effective business decisions. To secure that adequate internal control processes are in place and that Group processes are implemented. Responsible for the reporting integration entities & consolidated overall business for the Brand Portfolio companies of Compressor Technique in the UK & Ireland.
* You will participate in business activities and thereby actively contribute to developing the business by the strategy and targets and raise “red flags” to operational and/or holding management whenever compliance with sound business principles is at risk.
* You will also actively participate in and understand fully the sales operations, and both the people and our customers' needs and requirements. Customer visits and close support of our people in the field are therefore critical to getting a holistic view of our operations and the needs of the business.
* You will also be responsible for the financial coaching and development of the Management team.
Your role:
* Focus on business control activities that add value to the consolidated business.
* Implement and fine-tune effective business control processes and tools.
* Coordinate the planning process.
* Initiate and follow up corrective actions when needed.
* Promote transparency in facts and figures to ensure a decision process based on adequate and objective information.
* Utilize and share leading practices through interaction with other parts of the Group.
* Initiate/safeguard training in business control, including "The Way......", in the whole organization.
* Safeguard professional development for all employees within the scope of responsibility.
Principles and Guidelines
* You are responsible for making sure that "The Way We Do Things" is followed in all aspects. Most importantly:
* To ensure the future direction of the company, expressed in strategies, goals and targets, is reflected in the planning process. The scorecards are important tools for managing the company.
* To ensure the management has well-documented action plans to support the strategy and that plans for corrective actions exist if there are deviations from agreed plans.
* To ensure that leading business indicators and highlights/red flags are produced to support management in steering the business. Furthermore to closely follow up the development of the company versus trends and analyse deviations from agreed plans.
* To participate in various projects and internal audits within the Group.
* To secure that solid asset management procedures are in place, safeguarding that the company operates with a minimum of capital tied up.
* To safeguard that the accounting is by the local statutory accounting practices and that monthly and quarterly group reports are correct, complete and on time.
* To make sure that appropriate risk awareness and internal control procedures are in place and that external and internal auditors get the necessary support.

* Business Development and Planning
o Actively contribute to achieving the mission of the Company
o Strategic support to the Director/President
o Consolidation of figures

o Quantify and validate realistic figures
o Ensure financial consistency of the overall plan
o Develop follow-up tools, including expectancies
o Timely warning signals for gaps/deviations
o Participate in acquisition proposals and other structural projects
* Business Follow-up
o Anticipate (new) risks and opportunities
o Raise Red Flags when needed
o Cost planning and control about Revenues
o Provide tools to follow-up business development projects
o Control of product and functional costs
o Support saving initiatives in Purchasing
o Provide tools to follow up product development projects, product costing, investments and administration development
* Business Governance
o The Business Controller is the owner of the financial reports, supported by ASAP, when applicable. Secure that “The Way We Do Things” is known and applied throughout the organization
o Secure legal and statutory compliance
o Secure internal controls via procedures and prokura
* Reflect upon and understand our operations within the field
* Seek to understand the needs of our key customers and distributors
* Work with the management team to align the Business Control with the needs of all stakeholders
Experience Requirements
* Fully qualified accountant and several years’ experience in finance and/or business control
* Good knowledge of customer centre activities
* Service accounting experience
* Ability to work within a fast-paced environment as a strong and influential team member
Knowledge / Educational requirements
* University degree in Economics, Business Administration, or similar academic background
* Fluent in English is a must
* Knowledge of Atlas Copco's Finance and Administration Manual
