KBR’s Estates Intelligence team are market-leaders in the public sector FM Assurance market, providing innovative centralised technical platforms and professional services to a diverse central government and specialist departmental estates portfolios to enable them to manage their estates and manage the supply chains that maintain their estates.
Your Role
In this role, you will report directly to the Senior Estates & Technical Services Manager, primarily engaging in fieldwork to survey the client's estate. Your focus will involve managing a survey program aimed at capturing the condition of assets, buildings, and space utilisation.
Responsibilities include surveys on mechanical and electrical equipment, record-keeping of site visits, managing building plans, using KyKloud software for data input, providing advice on asset renewal, attending project meetings, and updating systems for accurate client reports. The role demands quick asset assessment without invasive inspections, identification of critical plant equipment, and occasional ad-hoc duties.
What We're Looking For
Your extensive experience in comprehensive asset surveys, building fabric studies, and space planning demonstrates a commitment to quality. Adept at accurately reporting M&E asset and building fabric conditions, your knowledge spans asset maintenance requirements and the broader built environment. Proficient in mobile data capture and reporting tools, including iPad apps/systems, you exhibit flexibility in amending or redrawing building plans.
Your professional history encompasses commercial and government asset portfolios, showcasing expertise in infrastructure and compliance with statutory and contractual requirements. Possessing a full clean driving license, good interpersonal and communication skills, IT literacy, and meticulous attention to detail, you are well-rounded in both lone and team-based work settings.
Desirable qualifications include experience in planning programs for asset lifecycle/renewal and fabric condition status. Familiarity with secure environments and knowledge of Kykloud software (with provided training) further enhance your skill set.
Qualifications
Essential:
1. Knowledge of building surveying in commercial buildings
2. Minimum of City & Guilds certification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, experience working in the field of Asset Collection/Validation & BF Surveying
3. Eligible for Enhanced DBS clearance, CTC and SC clearances.
Desirable
4. Member of a professional body in a relevant field e.g., MRICS, MCIOB, IWFM etc.
