We are looking for a Visitor Services Supervisor to join our Museums & Collections team. Your base will be Summerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Life, Coatbridge but you will work with all the museums in North Lanarkshire Council.
Your role will involve a wide variety of activities that all aim to ensure the museums are well presented, safe and attractive for visitors.
To be successful in the post, you should have a passion for museums, enjoy working with people, have good interpersonal and communication skills, be self-motivated and have a flexible approach to work practices. You will be responsible for ensuring a high-quality visitor experience, staff supervision & deployment, cash handling, banking and security of stock. You will also have a willingness to complete all necessary training, including first aid.
Your previous work experience of motivating staff, organising events, being flexible and responding to problems quickly and calmly, will add to your success in this post.
The successful candidate will require a satisfactory Disclosure Scotland check.
Interviews are likely to take place at Summerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Life on three weeks after the closing date.
Work Pattern
Wednesday 9.15am to 4.15pm, Thursday 9.30am to 4pm and Saturday 9.15am to 4.15pm
