About the Job
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Laboratory Research Scientist to lead our Proteomics Scientific Technology Platform (STP) at the Francis Crick Institute.
The post holder will be responsible for providing a world-class platform to contribute towards key research in collaboration with the wider Crick scientific community.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive forward qualitative and quantitative proteomic and clinical proteomic projects from experimental design through sample preparation to data analysis.
* Develop, optimize, and apply next-generation proteomics and mass spectrometry methods.
* Work closely with the wider Crick scientific community to contribute towards key research projects.
Requirements
The post holder should have a PhD or equivalent experience gained through working in a mass spectrometry laboratory, including basic and advanced proteomic sample handling and processing protocols.
The ideal candidate will also have detailed knowledge of proteomics-related bioinformatics and associated software packages, as well as experience with instrument maintenance requirements.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is estimated to be around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, annual leave, and training opportunities.
