We are looking for a Deputy Manager to join our Residential Children Services in Burnley. Booth House is home to up to four young people aged between 10 and 18 years upon admission. You will be an experienced Deputy Manager working in an environment and culture where children are respected, listened to, and involved in as many decisions as possible. As Deputy Manager, you will support the registered manager in the day-to-day running of the home, support the continued development of a team of Therapeutic Care Workers who help and support our children who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences and trauma, using our trauma-informed practices, which are embedded within our culture. Our leadership team will invest in your progression as a professional in the child care sector. We source and deliver up-to-date training opportunities and prioritise and discuss your personal development goals to ensure you’re getting the most out of your career. Our young people may have had many adults come in and out of their lives, often adding to their trauma. Therefore, we are looking for a committed and dedicated Deputy Manager. You’ll be a natural at building a rapport with children and someone full of empathy, so you can understand and relate to the young people you work with. You must have at least 2 years of experience as a deputy manager working in a children’s residential setting, hold your level 5 in leadership and management, or be prepared to work toward it. Is desirable a minimum of Level 3 in Children and Young Peoples Work Force, have a proven track record with Ofsted, Legislative Framework.
