Since opening its doors in 1997, the AO Arena has welcomed over 30 million guests and thousands of World-renowned artists. It has played a vital role in shaping Manchester’s music scene and has supported artists from backrooms to the main stage. With its £ 50 million redevelopment, the new look of the AO Arena will attract more artists and fans for many years to come.

About the Role
Our Events Crew role involves assisting the Events Technician and Events Managers in preparations for all concerts and events, ensuring a high standard of service is maintained and providing a safe environment for all clients and visitors to the Arena.

Key Responsibilities:
* Build our stage system, lighting and sound barrier to varied dimensions based on show requirements
* Use our house drape system to create difference layouts for events
* Turn the Venue around (sometimes overnight) between Events and change the staging, draping, chair layout, dressing rooms and offices in a short time frame
* Communicate and help other Departments within the Arena
* Changing lounges and areas for conferences and meetings
* Setting up security infrastructure
* Basic maintenance tasks (training given as needed)
* Ad-hoc duties as requested by Supervisor to support the Events Team.
Full-on-the-job training will be given on the above. Please Note: This role will require heavy lifting, manual handling and a flexible shift pattern including evenings, weekends and overnight work.
We are looking for someone with:
* A passion for the events industry - Essential
* A willingness to learn and pick up new skills
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a small team
