Seaview Ward is a mixed-gender ward, with a total of 14 beds providing high-quality care and treatment for patients who have physical, social, psychological, and emotional health needs. We promote a calm and therapeutic approach, enabling patients to overcome their current difficulties and move forward with their recovery.
Predominantly, our night shifts are our focus in order to fulfill the service’s needs. We would welcome all applications but will be unable to offer posts to anyone who cannot work regular night shifts.

Main duties of the job
We offer a full induction programme to all new staff members on joining the ward. Following successful completion of your 6-month probation period, you will meet with your supervisor to discuss your personal development plan, which will identify your learning and training needs, ensuring you have all the skills you need to excel in your role. As befits a specialist service, there will be opportunities to train in areas such as DBT, CBT for psychosis, enhanced risk assessment, and physical health interventions.
The ward team is highly motivated and has a track record of implementing recovery-based care, with an emphasis on therapeutic and diverse interventions. We work closely as a multi-disciplinary team and value learning, having regular teaching and supervision with a shared vision and action plan for the service.
The Multi-disciplinary team on the Ward provides treatment and care for a wide range of mental health illnesses, which include Schizophrenia, Bipolar Affective Disorder, Psychosis, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, and Personality Disorder.
