We are looking for an Energy & Carbon Analyst to help us deliver and develop data reporting and analytics. You will provide the business with key insights into the second-largest operational expense, ensuring that the business can make effective decisions based on accurate data and analysis.
What you’ll be doing as an Energy & Carbon Analyst
* Operational and regulatory reporting of energy and carbon metrics, including the development and maintenance of PowerBI dashboards.
* Use tools to analyse our energy and carbon data to deliver actionable insights to the business.
* Support the team in managing external regulators and ensuring compliance by providing data and attending audits.
* Develop and improve our current reporting methods.
* Analyse and review large volumes of energy data to spot trends and identify anomalies, helping to provide business insight and ensure good data quality.
What you should bring to the role
* Be an analytically minded individual.
* Proficient data analytics skills with experience analysing large data sets, using tools such as Excel and Power.
* Experience with Python or SQL would be advantageous.
* A strong attention to detail.
* Confident communicator and able to share technical knowledge with internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience within the energy industry is desirable, along with previous utility experience.
