Introduction The key purpose of this role is to contribute to the overall success of the HR agenda in delivering a proactive and customer focused HR service across the site by providing effective support, guidance and advice to managers and staff members on a wide variety of HR matters, such as employee/industrial relations, policy and process, recruitment and the delivery of key projects. Key Responsibilities • Provide high quality HR advice and coaching directly to managers to facilitate the early resolution of difficult, complex or sensitive employee/industrial relations issues, ensuring that the risks associated with such cases are effectively managed. This includes providing advice to managers on policy/procedure and legislation, liaising with Occupational Health, supporting formal investigations and hearings. • Provide updates on key changes to policies/ processes/ new initiatives and ER trends. Contribute to policy and procedural improvements and creation. • Act as HR expert alongside managers, in the management of change issues, leading in formal consultation exercises and processing information such as TUPE/organisation transfers due diligence and redundancy calculations. • Lead on providing excellent, customer focussed HR administration and communication. Maintain accurate and up to date records and reports, compile monthly HR KPI data and communicate at site and regional level. • Lead on discrete operational projects which improve service delivery, including supporting with the development of team objectives and KPI’s. • Support the recruitment and selection process and oversee resource planning. Provide advice to managers on recruitment campaigns, development of job descriptions/person specifications, job evaluations and appropriate selection processes. • Work closely with finance team and payroll shared service centre to provide monthly timely and accurate documentation to facilitate monthly payroll processing for both Eastleigh and Woking • Support the wider HR Team in implementing and embedding new strategies and initiatives across the organisation. • Support engagement, wellbeing and ED&I initiatives working with local employee groups to promote an engaged and inclusive culture at site and communicate action plans. • Work in accordance with all relevant legislation, policies & procedures and guidelines – both internal and external. Manager the WokingHR inbox and provide HR advice and administrative support • Undertake continuing professional development including participating in performance reviews and attending training as/when required. • Other projects and reasonable management requests outside this non-exhaustive list Core Requirements • CIPD Level 3 (or equivalent experience) with commitment to complete CIPD Level 5 • Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes. • Strong analytical and interpretive skills. • Knowledge/ Previous Experience working in a HR Department in either a HR Officer or HR Advisor role. • Experience of interpreting policies, procedures and situations in order to identify pragmatic solutions/ recommendations. • Experience of advising and supporting managers on a range of employee relations matters to an appropriate conclusion. • Experience of dealing with matters confidentially and sensitively with a sound knowledge of General Data Protection Regulation. • Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and best practice. • Working knowledge of TUPE/Local employee transfer and redundancy processes.
