My client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Associate Director to join their dynamic commercial agency team in London. As they continue to expand, they’re looking to grow their multi-award-winning agency, building on their reputation as one of the most active firms operating across the City Fringe, East, and North London sub-markets.
This role will primarily focus on office leasing, leading and developing their core landlord portfolio, with the potential to assist in flex space and tenant representation.
The Client
My client is a leading independent property advisory firm, offering expertise across a broad spectrum of commercial and residential sectors. They provide strategic advice to buyers, owners, occupiers, investors, and developers.
Their core teams specialise in agency, property auctions, asset management, valuation, and advisory services. With a team of over 100 professionals, they operate throughout London and the Home Counties, while their auction department and property management services extend nationwide.
Collaborating with in-house experts, they leverage their knowledge to provide tailored solutions, create value, and secure competitive advantages for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Office Leasing: Oversee and drive my client’s office leasing portfolio, supporting flex space and tenant representation initiatives.
2. Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords and occupiers, offering expert guidance to ensure successful transactions.
3. Negotiation: Lead negotiations on lease agreements, re-gears, and lease renewals, securing the best outcomes for clients.
4. Market Strategy: Stay up to date on market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies, advising clients on how best to position their properties.
5. Team Leadership: Support and mentor junior staff, fostering their professional growth and strengthening the team.
6. Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, securing new clients and listings through networking and industry connections.
7. Marketing & Presentation: Work alongside the marketing and agency support teams to develop high-quality marketing materials, presentations, and pitches.
8. Transaction Management: Oversee the smooth execution of contracts and transactions, attend client meetings, and collaborate with legal and administrative teams.
Key Requirements
1. Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial agency, with a focus on office leasing in central London. While experience in the City Fringe market is advantageous, it is not a requirement.
2. Sales & Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to generate leads, close deals, and manage complex transactions.
3. Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of the London commercial property market, particularly the City Fringe sub-market.
4. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients, occupiers, agents, and industry professionals.
5. Client-Centric Approach: Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding client expectations.
6. Organisational Skills: Strong time management, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple projects effectively.
Qualifications & Technical Skills
1. 3+ years’ experience in an office agency role
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
3. Experience using Agent Society reporting/scheduling and Kato software
