M&E Construction Manager - Hertfordshire

Our client, an established contractor operating within the Pharmaceutical Industry across Ireland, UK, and Europe, is urgently seeking an experienced mechanically biased M&E Construction Manager. As M&E Construction Manager, you ideally have a strong mechanical installation background on clean room builds, demonstrating proven accomplishments on large scale M&E installations with associated QA/QC requirements, including managing the appointed packages ensuring timely and compliant development of scheduled works from inception through to pre-commissioning.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
1. Develop the planning & coordination of mechanical & electrical construction activities in collaboration with the project management team to ensure alignment with overall project goals & timelines.
2. Lead the mechanical & electrical engineers, stakeholders, subcontractors & suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials & services meeting the project requirements within specific timelines.
3. Implement quality assurance processes & procedures to ensure that mechanical & electrical construction works meet or exceed project expectations.
4. Carry out regular inspections and audits to identify and address any issues and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
5. Manage M&E project budgets, tracking budget allocation to minimize costs without compromising quality.
6. Prepare and maintain updated accurate records/documentation of project development and issues ready for review or submission.
7. Degree/HND in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with QA/QC experience.
8. 5+ years' experience as M&E Construction Manager within construction with a focus on Pharmaceutical/Clean room projects.
9. Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
10. Effective communication and project leadership skills.
11. Strong knowledge of the M&E construction process, methods, and best practices.
12. Proficient in project management software & tools.
13. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
