Assembly Technician required for my client based in Stevenage who works within the automated solutions of the engineering industry.
The successful assembly technician will be using a variety of tools and equipment, working across various areas of the company's production on both automated and manual product lines.
Assembly Technician Position Overview
* Read, interpret and follow basic diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble products.
* Understanding of shading, cutting and measuring diagrams.
* Basic understanding of electrical wiring and motors.
* Maintain inventory of product and parts in work stations.
* Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
* Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
* Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
* Reporting to the department team lead and operations director.
Assembly Technician Position Requirements
* Experience working in an assembly technician and mechanical technician role.
* Experience of shading, measuring, cutting and diagrams is beneficial.
* Proficient in the use of hand tools.
* Enthusiasm and interest in engineering and manufacturing.
* Knowledge of materials, ability to distinguish types.
* Previous experience in manufacturing/engineering environment advantageous.
* Based within a commutable distance of Stevenage.
Assembly Technician Position Remuneration
* Salary - £28,000 to £35,000 - dependent upon experience, skill and qualifications.
* Full time position - Monday to Friday.
* Pension Scheme. 8% contribution from company.
