We are recruiting for an Accounts Administrator to join a friendly, fast-paced, and well-established company based on the outskirts of St Albans. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Administrator to manage and maintain financial records and support day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will ensure the accurate processing of transactions, maintain financial compliance, and contribute to the smooth running of the finance department. Due to the location, you need to be a driver What’s in it for you: · Salary: up to £30k · Hours: 8am-4.30pm · A close-knit and supportive team · 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays · BUPA private healthcare after 6 months’ probation · Free parking Key responsibilities: · Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payments. · Reconcile bank statements and address any discrepancies in a timely manner. · Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections. · Prepare and send updated debtors lists to senior managers for review on a weekly basis. · Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any inconsistencies effectively. · Ensured compliance with CIS by verifying subcontractor details, calculating deductions. · Update internal spreadsheets for debtors and fuel expenses, allocating fuel costs to the appropriate departments. · Perform credit card analysis and post transactions to the ledger accurately. · Maintain a clear and organized inbox, addressing and resolving all queries daily. · Handle utility bills, penalty charge notices (PCNs), and any related inquiries efficiently. · Assist with external audit, providing necessary documentation and information. · Provide general administrative support to the finance team as required such as PO’s.
