Axcis Education is looking for a dedicated and patient Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in South Bristol, supporting pupils in their Learning Base as they work towards their GCSEs.
About the Role:
1. Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm (term-time only).
2. Support secondary-age pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Dyslexia.
3. Work 1:1 and in small groups, helping pupils access the curriculum and develop key skills.
4. Adapt learning materials and provide targeted support to help students achieve their potential.
5. Work closely with teaching staff and SENCO to implement individual learning plans (ILPs).
The Ideal Candidate:
1. Experience working with MLD, Dyslexia, or additional learning needs (desirable but not essential).
2. A patient and supportive approach to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
3. Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with teachers and support staff.
4. Passion for inclusive education and making a difference in young people’s lives.
