We are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work with our Reception children from January 2025. The right person needs to be creative, committed, and enthusiastic, and you will be working as part of our team with our EYFS children. This is a very exciting opportunity to join an outstanding school in a new purpose-built building. The role will be a permanent position (subject to probationary period). Hours of work are 18 hours per week (08:30–12:30 and 13:15–15:15 with 45 mins for lunch, Wednesday to Friday).
We realize that getting the right person to join our team is really important; no two days are ever the same, and you will be busy and adaptable. Ideally, you will also have the following skills and attributes:
* A passion for working with young children, showing them respect and kindness to foster their all-round development;
* Experience of working with young children (Early Years preferable, but not essential);
* Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum;
* An understanding of the teaching of phonics;
* Good personal literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills;
* You are flexible, calm, and enjoy working as part of a strong team;
* You have the interpersonal skills to develop positive and supportive relationships with all;
* You have the ability to use your own initiative to support the learning needs of children;
* You need a sense of humour and lots of energy!
