We are seeking a reliable and flexible Year 6 Supply Teacher to join various schools on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher who is adaptable, can manage classroom behaviour effectively, and can step into a Year 6 classroom to provide high-quality teaching and ensure continuity of learning. This begins February 2025.
Duties of a Year 6 Teacher:
* Deliver engaging and structured lessons for Key Stage 2 pupils, specifically Year 6.
* Maintain effective classroom management to create a positive and focused learning environment.
* Follow lesson plans and adjust activities as needed to meet the needs of students.
* Provide support for SATs preparation and general academic progress.
* Assess pupils’ work, providing feedback and managing any required administrative tasks.
* Communicate with school staff to ensure a smooth transition in the absence of the regular teacher.
* Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
Ideal Year 6 Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching Key Stage 2, preferably Year 6.
* Strong understanding of the national curriculum and SATs preparation.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
* Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and teaching styles.
* A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
