The Team and Role
Our Consulting Highways teams impact the journeys of millions across the UK, by working in partnership with a range of clients on both major design projects and local network improvements. Transport Scotland has awarded Amey the North East Trunk Road Network Management Contract and the South West Trunk Road Network Management Contract. You will assist the design of some of the largest civil engineering and associated infrastructure projects in Scotland. With a cumulative value in excess of £1bn, these long-term contracts provide excellent opportunities for technical, engineering, and professional design staff at all stages in their careers to be involved in some of the most exciting and challenging engineering projects.
In addition to these long-term contracts, we also have a diverse portfolio of major roads, bridges, transportation, and civil design projects with Transport Scotland, Local Authorities, and established Contractors across the country. These include the Perth Eco Innovation Park (Perth West) as well as active travel schemes throughout Scotland, the design of major road infrastructure schemes, including Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District Scotland and Clyde Waterfront & Renfrew Riverside. These schemes are developed to deliver growth and improve safety on the trunk road network with the design and installation of Strategic Road Safety improvements while ensuring the UK’s Highways network continues to operate.
As a Graduate, you will work alongside the team to:
* Provide support to the Street Lighting design team to assist in the preparation and finalisation of technically compliant solutions.
* Assist with the preparation of technical documentation and reports.
* Deal with project-related correspondence.
* Assist the Street Lighting Design Team with Site Duties when required.
* Ensure compliance with the Quality Management Plan.
