Key Responsibilities of the Account Director The Account Director is a key role providing strategic and tactical leadership plus operational management within a dynamic multi-client environment. Lead a multi-faceted team of Contract Managers, and a wider engineering to ensure exceptional service delivery at what will become a globally recognisable destination venue. Main Duties of the Account Director Leads and develops dedicated account / contract teams. Set the strategic direction for the team. Deliver the strategic goals / direction of the sector Manage the P&L of your contracts including sales/growth/costs and WIP/Debt management including fee revenue targets and stretch objectives. Establish a robust governance framework that drives collaborative working relationships with all stakeholders and suppliers. Full understanding of Contract SLA and KPI and delivers these whilst ensuring industry best practice. Set priorities for the team to ensure task completion, coordinates work activities with others. Build Partnerships with Client and Colleagues through open transparent and timely communication. Adapt management style to meet changing needs of the business or operational circumstances. Provide support and coaching for Direct reports. Ensure technical support and infrastructure is maintained at all times for the effective operation. Drive and encourage development of self and others through learning and on the job experience. Ensure correct control measures and cost controls are in place. Ensure quality assurance procedures are adhered to and any new policies, Ensure commercial agreements are in place and change control is up to date across all accounts, reviewed annually as a minimum Experience Required: Managerial experience at Account Director above within technical and or hard services is essential. A demonstrable track record in leading engineering teams within a highly complex and high profile environment with excellent knowledge of the industry market. Previous experience working with major principal contractors and mobilising sites from CDM to occupation is desirable. Ability to work effectively within a matrix management structure New business hunter qualities as well as very strong account management skills Able to build positive relationships with Client in order to speedily resolve day to day operational problems and identify opportunities for increasing the level of profitable business arising from these relationships. Communicate using appropriate styles, methods and timings Role Model enthusiasm and energy about their work and encourages others to do the same. Demonstrate resourcefulness when acquiring additional professional expertise. Qualifications Required Industry relevant qualifications and demonstrable experience IOSH Competent working knowledge of M&E or Fabric disciplines Sound level of administration and organisational skills
