Job Description
Key Objectives
1. To assist Conveyancers in the management of caseload by actioning legal procedures as directed by the Conveyancer.
2. To assist Conveyancers in the management of caseload by dealing with file related queries either face to face or by telephone.
3. To assist Conveyancers in the processing of matters on a timely and cost effective basis.
4. To support Conveyancers in the maintenance of files by effective file management.
5. To ensure that clients are dealt with efficiently and politely and that appropriate legal matters are raised with the Conveyancer.
6. To attend to clients, taking instructions, and conducting letter and telephone enquiries as necessary.
7. To use the correct practice procedures and systems in order to manage cases effectively and in accordance with the firm’s standards and legal requirements.
8. To improve and enhance the firm’s client base by effective liaison with existing clients and contacts.
9. To maximise the firm’s potential to cross–sell services by identifying appropriate opportunities.
10. To manage own work allocation, productivity and quality of work with minimum supervision.
11. To comply with all Watson Ramsbottom policies and procedures.
12. To ensure our clients receive the best possible service at all times.
13. To ensure our introducers of business receive the best possible service at all times.
Person Specification
Essential Skills
1. Reliable and diligent, with good attention to detail.
2. Self-motivation to work independently and as part of a team with a ‘can do’ attitude.
3. Good interpersonal skills.
4. A positive approach to working in a busy environment.
Desirable Skills
1. Some experience of the conveyancing process.
2. A good level of education.
3. Competent typing ability.
4. Good IT skills with working knowledge of all MS applications especially Word.
5. Excellent organisational and communication skills.
