As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Learning Mentor to join our fantastic team at Waterloo Lodge School as a Learning Mentor, you will deliver mentoring support to pupils according to their educational needs, in a way that maximises pupil’s achievement and ability to develop. About the role This is a great opportunity for a Learning Mentor who wants to develop creative learning opportunities for pupils with varied and complex needs. Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure, working with pupils who require extra support with learning, in a school where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected and involved in as many decisions as possible. When it comes to looking after our pupils, we never settle for second best. We are looking for a Learning Mentor, able to support and motivate some of our most troubled and reluctant learners. You will work closely with our Teachers, helping us in our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK, to be happy and to make their way in the world. Already experienced in an SEN or mainstream education environment, you will be forward thinking, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of mentoring, motivated by supporting families and helping every pupil to reach their potential. The Mentor's at Waterloo Lodge School work closely with all our pupils. You will be assigned a cohort of pupils which you will meet with on a one to one basis each week. This is not academic support but focussing on their well-being and working on the Zones of Regulation.
