Rate of Pay: £14.34 - £17.84 per Hour
Summary:
We are seeking a Duty Planner to coordinate and manage staff rotas, ensuring the effective delivery of care services. This role involves providing advice and support to service users and staff, maintaining accurate records using specialized IT systems, and ensuring compliance with CIW Regulations and Standards. You will play a key role in managing resources, supporting staff, and improving service delivery.
Responsibilities:
Service Delivery & Rota Management: Use Carefree and other systems to efficiently schedule and monitor care delivery. Ensure all shifts and calls are covered, including managing leave, sickness, and training needs.
Administrative & IT Support: Maintain accurate records, update care packages, and ensure compliance with data regulations. Support the department with general administrative tasks, including record-keeping, filing, and reporting.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with social workers, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to deliver coordinated care. Communicate clearly with carers and service users, providing necessary support and addressing any issues promptly.
Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to CIW Regulations, departmental policies, and best practices. Conduct audits, maintain training records, and complete service evaluations. Support safeguarding processes and report any concerns in line with POVA procedures.
Team Collaboration & Supervision: Work as part of a team, participating in the duty rota, including out-of-office hours. Support staff with DBS applications, training, and performance monitoring.
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 in Administration, Care, or an equivalent field.
Proven experience in a social care, healthcare, or administrative setting.
Strong IT proficiency, including experience using Carefree, WCCIS, and Microsoft Office.
Essential:
Ability to manage complex schedules and prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
Full driving license and use of a car for work purposes.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and delivering high-quality care.
