Hotels are growing! We have now opened the doors fully to our 4th strikingly
beautiful hotel, taking pride of place right on the seafront and is Brighton’s
newest-boutique-hotel-by-the-sea.
To support our growth and strengthen our support team, we are now
looking to recruit for a superstar part/qualified Finance Manager to join our central
finance team based in the bustling Lanes area of Brighton.
The Job
The role of our new Finance Manager will be to support
the day to day running of our small but, ever so mighty finance team. Being the
number 2 to our new Finance Director, you’ll be responsible for the P&L Balance
Sheets for each of our hotels (and Head Office), in addition to taking the lead
on the management of our month end processes. So, what else can you expect from this role (but
not limited to), you'll :

Work alongside our Finance Director, General/Hotel Managers, Head Office
Managers and Heads of Department to ensure that costs are controlled, revenue
targets are achieved and required gross margins are achieved.

Take overall responsible for Holdings company Profit & Loss and
Balance Sheets.
·
Report on budgets/targets as required.
·
Manage intercompany transactions and balances.
·
Take leadership on the management of our month end balance sheet
reconciliations.
·
Help oversee
annual audit & any tax/VAT Investigations.
This role would really suit someone who has worked in the
hospitality/retail/service industries, but other industries would be
considered.

things the right way, even when no one is looking. In other words, be:
* Hard working and driven
* Proven role-specific
experience of working in a Management Accountant/Finance Manager capacity
(or similar level) ideally within the hospitality industry (2 years’
experience).
* Be AAT Level 4 qualified,
or part-qualified CIMA/ ACA/ ACCA.
* Well-developed IT skills,
including confident use of MS Office, especially Excel.
* An understanding of how to
use Opera, Xero, Lightyear, Harri and Gifted systems.
* Supervisory experience would also be an
advantage
