Flexible working is a feature of this role, including an option to work partially from home, flexible start and finish times or term time only will be considered. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the head office team. In order to successfully provide business partner support, there will be a requirement for the post holder to travel to schools within their partnership area; therefore, being Nottingham based is not essential as we cover North Nottinghamshire and Derby Schools.
Ideally you will:
1. Have substantial experience of providing effective and practical advice around the full range of complex employee relations case work (grievance, disciplinary, health & absence management, performance management, LADO referrals), working with trade unions, and advising managers on a breadth of people issues, up to & including dismissal.
2. Experience of handling significant change processes, including restructure/redundancy, and TUPE transfers.
3. High level of knowledge & understanding of policy, procedure, employment law, and good practice in relation to education HR.
4. Be an experienced individual with drive and enthusiasm to work as a valued member of the team with a strong focus on working together to achieve results.
5. Have a real passion for working within an education environment, able to influence and provide support locally to schools.
6. Can build strong collaborative relationships and credibility with both central Head Office and school-based colleagues as well as being able to coach and support others.
7. Have a solution-focused approach, keen to support our schools to fulfil their school improvement plans through their staffing.
8. Be able to use data to inform thinking and strategy.
