Job Title: Technical Architect Location: Durham / Gloucester (Hybrid/Remote) Job Purpose and Primary Objectives: Managing Domain and Active Directory Services Create Design/PDD/TAD for Enterprise Architecture Solution Managing Microsoft Azure Active Directory tenant Strong knowledge on M365 and Application Integration Hands-on experience in managing core infrastructure like VMware, Active Directory, McAfee, Symantec, DNS, WINS Expertise in Entra ID B2B and B2C collaboration Should manage large O365 transformational programmes along with hybrid configuration and Identity and Access Management Work closely with customer to understand business/technical requirements and design domain merger solutions Experience with Agile methodology and JIRA for project delivery Own Architecture responsibilities end-to-end, including on-prem and cloud solutions Thorough knowledge of O365 stack and use cases End-to-end ownership of technical challenge resolution across on-prem, Cloud, and O365 streams In-depth understanding and working experience of Azure and Cloud technologies Create PowerShell/VB scripts to automate repetitive tasks Conduct regular environment health checks and provide gap analysis Availability for shift work and on-call (ROTA based) Handle severity incidents Ensure quality of all technical deliverables Contribute to writing, reviewing, and publishing design documents Strong negotiation and communication skills Work closely with other infrastructure architects and support teams to design and implement customer solutions Execute design and project delivery independently Key Responsibilities: Utilize expert-level knowledge of Microsoft architecture, M365, and EUC architecture Provide best practice recommendations with deep experience in M365 core services Technical expertise in Office 365, Microsoft Core Infrastructure, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Active Directory, Azure Identity, AD Connect, ADFS, Security & Compliance, DLP, Azure Information & Threat Protection, Intune, Microsoft Managed Desktops Understand and apply Microsoft enterprise services frameworks and practices Strong on-prem and cloud integration skills Competency in Agile lifecycle methodology Core solution design experience for O365 and Azure Strong communication and customer engagement skills for domain merger and identity management solutioning Hands-on migration of Exchange on-prem to O365 Azure-hosted solutions Monitoring tools configuration and proactive issue resolution Create technical FAQs and issue documentation Architect large-scale infrastructure and Azure cloud solutions Experience with latest Microsoft 365 technologies such as Teams, Defender, Intune/Autopilot, Azure Virtual Desktop, PAM Strong client management skills at executive level Solid understanding of IT infrastructure design and operations Development of HLDs and LLDs OS expertise across platforms (Windows 10, Android, iOS, macOS) and management tools Lead workshops, decision meetings, and executive briefings Manage infrastructure tools like VMware, Active Directory, McAfee, Symantec, DNS, WINS Hybrid cloud architecture and compliance expertise Windows Server 2016/2019 knowledge Provide best practice guidance through project lifecycles Lead major incidents and support root cause analysis SAFE/Agile project delivery experience Key Skills / Knowledge / Experience Required: Expert-level Microsoft 365 architecture knowledge Core O365 Solution Architect with strong solution design background Best practice recommendations for M365 services Technical experience in Office 365 ecosystem including security, compliance, and management solutions Exposure to Microsoft enterprise service frameworks Leadership skills to represent environment challenges Agile lifecycle familiarity Lead configuration planning and architecture decision-making Recognized as M365 subject matter expert PowerShell scripting skills Windows 10 security and servicing expertise AD 2008, Group Policy, SCCM, PowerShell, BitLocker, TPM, MDT experience Certifications like MCSE/MCSA/MCP preferred Experience in full deployment lifecycle and T-minus/go-no-go checklist management Key Relationships & Contacts: With Client Build and maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders Implement efficient and effective ongoing processes With Line Manager / Senior Stakeholders Regular communication and updates on critical business issues With Offshore Teams Collaborate and share updates to align on deliverables With Peers Foster positive internal and external relationships and share best practices With Others Communicate professionally with all teams to achieve goals and maintain external relationships to uphold company reputation
