Heacham Group Practice has an opportunity for a senior administrator to join our team on a part or full time basis. Hours can be between 30 and 37.5 per week.
The post-holder will be part of our multi-disciplinary, primary-care team and contribute to the smooth running of the practice, supporting the Business Development Manager and Operations Manager.
Main duties of the job
* Overseeing the incoming and outgoing clinical correspondence including clinical coding of data in patients records. Supporting General Practice Assistants to ensure that this is carried out in a timely manner.
* Assisting with QOF and recall systems to ensure patients are brought in for investigations and reviews appropriately.
* Overseeing and monitor patient registrations and deductions including online registrations.
* Point of contact for online access requests and queries for the Practice.
* Assisting with funding claims for the Practice.
* Run regular Ardens searches to ensure patients are recalled appropriately and records are coded correctly. Including tasking other clinicians to advise them of work to be done.
* IT and Smartcard Lead for the Practice.
* Cytology administration.
* Updating Gold Standard Framework spreadsheet and attend monthly meetings.
* Assist with Audit work.
* Assisting with practice tasks.
* Undertake any other additional duties appropriate to the post as required.
About us
We are a small friendly GP practice with two surgeries at Heacham and Snettisham serving approximately 7,500 patients. Our clinical team includes 3 GP partners, 2 salaried GPs and a very skilled nursing team including nurse practitioners, specialist nurses and HCAs. We are a training practice for GP registrars. We are offering a salary depending on experience and NHS pension.
Person Specification
Experience
* An experienced administrator, with excellent IT and organisational skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively, working in a confidential and discreet manner.
* Ability to multi-task, work efficiently and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
* Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as independently.
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
* Experience of clinical coding.
* Primary care experience is desirable but not essential.
