PROJECT BACKGROUND
Barrhill Development Trust is a registered Scottish Charity (SC049162), created by the community to develop Barrhill and improve the quality of life of residents, via the management of wind farm benefit funding. Barrhill Development Trust takes the form of a SCIO – Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation - and was founded on 25th March 2019. The decision to create a new SCIO for Barrhill was discussed by members and adopted at Barrhill Community Interest Company’s AGM on 10th October 2018.
The Trust is run by a group of volunteers and oversees the Barrhill assets

MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE POST
To provide an efficient support service to the Barhill Development Trustees, ensuring that the Memorial Hall and Public Toilets are operated and cleaned to a high standard.
MAIN DUTIES
• Opening, closing and cleaning of Barrhill public toilets
• Preparing and set up of rooms in hall in advance of bookings as required
• Supervision of premises, opening and closing of the hall in line with hall
bookings
• Cleaning of all rooms and equipment withing the hall including the kitchen and
kitchen equipment
• Always keep interior of hall clean and tidy and report and maintenance
concerns or defects as required.
• Operating and maintaining the hall management systems including fire alarms,
heating and PA system.
• Liaise and maintain relationships with trustees, internal and external
colleagues, individuals and organisations, always ensuring effective
communication.
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
Within budget constraints opportunities are afforded to all staff members to undertake relevant training.
